If you are sourcing flags for resale, the single most common question is whether to order printed or embroidered flags. Both are produced in our own factory, and the right choice depends on your market, your budget and how the flag will be used.
Printed flags
Printing (dye sublimation) transfers the artwork onto polyester with heat and pressure. The result is a sharp, full-colour image that can reproduce fine detail, gradients, text and even photographs. Printing is the standard choice for national flags, promotional flags and large runs, and it keeps the unit price low.
- Unlimited colours at no extra cost
- Best for detailed designs, text and gradients
- Lower unit price from small to large quantities
- Fast production — typically 7–10 days
Embroidered flags
Embroidery stitches the design with thread. It gives a premium, textured look and a heavier, more durable feel that customers associate with high-end products. The trade-off is that very fine detail and small text are harder to reproduce, and the unit cost is higher.
- Premium look and feel
- Excellent durability, including in strong wind
- Ideal for ceremonial and government orders
- Higher unit cost, longer lead time
Which should you choose?
Order printed flags when you need volume, sharp detail and competitive pricing. Order embroidered flags when you are selling into a premium segment, or when the flag will fly continuously outdoors.
Many of our customers stock both: printed flags for everyday sales and embroidered flags as an upsell. We can produce both in the same order and ship them together.
Not sure which is right for your market? Send us your artwork and target price and we will recommend the best option.
